First Thanksgiving...Brookman Family

Ryan, you seem to be starting a trend. The past couple of times we've gone to Grandma and Pops' house you have a new way to greet them. Shortly before we arrive at their house you begin to grunt in the back seat. You make a dirty diaper and when we change your diaper at their house we discover that you have EXPLODED all over your clothes. We then have to soak your clothes in the sink, clean you up, wash your clothes...oy vey. It's a good thing we love you so much.

GOBBLE! GOBBLE!

Your Daddy and Uncle Philip started a tradition last year that the family go on a "Turkey Run/Walk" after Thanksgiving dinner. (Not right after..maybe the next day.) You went last year, but you were still in my belly. This time you got to see everything that was going on. It was very cold, so we all had to bundle up.

Grandma and Pops are always so nice and let Mommy and Daddy take naps when we're at their house so they can play with you. This is how I found you and Pops when I came downstairs from my nap. I think Pops would do just about anything to make you happy.

Uncle Philip showed us his trick with his dogs Kady and Oscar. He attaches their leashes to his belt and rides his bike while the run beside him. They really like running with Uncle Philip.

You met Great Grandma Joan and Dick for the first time. You impressed her with all of your smiles. You really liked hanging out with her.

Great Grandmother and Great Granddad came by too. Great Grandma Joan had to hand you off to Great Grandmother because you're so heavy! It was so fun to see all of them. We hope to see them again soon!

First Thanksgiving...Broyles Family

You had your first Thanksgiving Ryan. With Mommy's side of the family we went to Branson, MO. It was a lot of fun. We ate a lot of food and went shopping.

This is what you did while the rest of us ate Thanksgiving dinner. So cute.

Cousin Stone was there. He sat on Uncle Doug's lap and ate his pumpking pie. I think he liked it.

After dinner we went back to our hotel room. You woke up and played on the floor with your toys. There wasn't a lot of room to roll around. It seemed your favorite place to go was under the bed.

Your daddy and I had a bet that you would crawl before Thanksgiving. I said you would 'cause I believed in you! I lost :(. You're so close though!!!

Cousin Stone and Uncle Doug came by our room. You liked looking at each other and smiling. Stone was very nice to you and gave you toys to play with.

Then it was your turn for Thanksgiving dinner. You had sweet potatoes and rice. Yum!

At midnight Mommy and Daddy, Grandma, Uncle Nic, Uncle Doug and Aunt Shonn went shopping trying to find great deals. Papa Broyles stayed with you at the hotel. Grandma and I only went to one store. I got a coat (that you can wear when you're three) and a hat for you and stood in line for an hour to pay for it.

We slept in and went to the Branson Landing to do some more shopping. The last thing we did was eat lunch with the family. Here you are with Stone waiting to leave. (No, the camo outfits were not planned.)

We said goodbye and headed off to Edmond to see Grandma and Pops Brookman. We drove for five whole hours. We only stopped once for gas and let you get out to stretch. You only cried for maybe 20 minutes the entire time. You were such a good boy!!!

Just Plain Cute

I couldn't resist buying this adorable star outfit. You're just so stinkin' cute!!!
You decided to show us how to correctly use a teething ring.

First Time Away from Mom and Dad

Ryan, you spent your first night (two nights, actually) away from Mommy and Daddy. We went to the Youth Retreat and you stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Broyles. You were such a good boy. Mommy missed you so much and called at least twice a day.
You had lots of fun!

Look at those blue eyes!!

Looks like you wore your pajamas a lot! :)

Mommy and Daddy were so glad to see you when we got back.
